Pure are those, who will make the divinity known. Pious are those who will direct toward the greater divinity and totally blessed are those who will disseminate and contribute to the news on the divinity and that of the greater divinity. That is how Narada, Tumbura, Valmiki, Tyagaraja, Ramadasa and several other renowned exponents of the ultimate divinity are remembered even today and adored as replicas of divinity in Indian Scriptures.
Sri Shirdi Sai Baba, a saint of the present century of Indian origin practiced multi religious philosophies of Hinduism, Christianity and Muslim religion advocating oneness of God – Baba pledged to the suffering humanity, material success happiness and prosperity through His eleven solemn promises. The efficacy of Baba’s pledge for alleviation of the distress of mankind and fulfillment of their wants is well established.
His magnificent marble statue, which is 6- ft high and sculptured over base rock of 4ft wide, weighing approximately three tons, with all the silver ornaments i.e. throne, crown, umbrella, makaratoranam, swastiks and lions has been installed. The installation of this life size statue, (Idol) an exact replica of the one at Shirdi, which is carved by same family, world-renowned Pembarthi artisans from India was and inaugurated in Baldwin on July 4th 2002.
This mega community project structure is blessed by all divine personalities at home including Kanchi Kama Koti Peetadhipatulu, Bhagawan Shri Satya Sai Baba and several other spiritual exponents. Presently Baba is seated in a magestic Darbar hall for primarily devoting to all the welfare activities, advocating inter-religious harmony and universal brotherhood in addition to attending to spiritual and ritualistic needs of all overseas devotees.
The day in the Mandir starts with the morning aarathi called Kakakad aarathi. After the Kakad aarathi the Abhishekam is performed and the darshan of the Baba begins for the devotees. On special occasions the Abhishekam is followed by Sri Satyanarayana Puja. There is the Madhayana Aarathi follwed by the Sai Satcharitra adhyana reading. At sunset it is the Dhoop Aarathi follwed by Bhajans, Keertan and music. The day’s activities are concluded with Sheja aarathi.
